What kind of daycare are you?

JamaJaz is a loving, home environment, which is very child-centered. We have a daily schedule, but maintain a fluid structure that is easily adapted to the needs of a child at any particular moment.

Yes! JamaJaz is licensed to care for 12-14 children. Our License# is 384002048.

What is your adult to child ratio?

JamaJaz has a long standing policy of adjusting adult to child ratios based on JamaJaz activities to ensure specialized care and individual attention.  This can range from one adult to two children when going to a park or typically one adult to four children during regular activities. At a minimum, we follow the California Community Care Licensing Guidelines  of one adult to eight children.

What is the age range of the children in your care?

We are here to care for your children from infancy through toddlerhood so they are fully prepared to enter preschool. We emphasize the total development of each child: social, physical, emotional, and intellectual. Most importantly, we keep your child safe, happy, and healthy with loving care from infancy to preschool.

For the safety of the children in our care, we cannot publish our address. JamaJaz is conveniently located just blocks from the West Portal MUNI tunnel — near Balboa Terrace, Forest Hill, Ingleside Terrace, Lakeside, Lakeshore, Monterey

Our rates are very reasonable and based on your customized schedule. Please email or call us to arrange a tour, and we will be happy to review our rate schedule with you personally.
